Pregnancy classes
Yoga for pregnancy can help women have a healthier and happier experience of pregnancy and birth.
Pregnancy is a very special time in life and these classes will offer:
Classes are suitable for women from their 14th week of pregnancy up until birth.
Weekly classes available:
Mondays 7.30-9.00pm
Venue: The Pilates Studio, 27a North Street, Taunton, TA1 1LVV
(Wooden floor with under floor heating).
All equipment provided. Just wear comfortable clothing and bring a blanket if you want for the relaxation.
Fees: £6 taster session, thereafter monthly payments
£6 per session for those over 35 weeks pregnant.

Individual Pregnancy Yoga Sessions:
The beauty of 1:1's is that they focus on your individual needs.
Venue: In our home where we have a yoga room/practice.
An initial consultation session usually lasts 1 -1 1/2 hours.
Subsequent sessions usually last about an hour, but can be longer if requested.
Frequency of sessions entirely depends on individual choice and what seems appropriate.
What happens?
Everyone is different at different times, everyone is different to each
other, and everything changes anyway. So the very nature of responding to
individual needs means that sessions may vary greatly and it is hard to
generalise.
However generally speaking:
Typically initially women identify what they would like to gain from the
sessions, following which I design and teach the student a practice which
is especially appropriate for them. Practices may include postures,
exercises, ball work, use of the breath, sound work, relaxation,
preparation for birth and other relevant information. Students receive a
basic practice to take home for further practice or support if they so wish.
Sometimes difficult issues may arise during pregnancy &/or as a mother. As I am an experienced Psychotherapist, individual sessions can also include counselling if that is appropriate.
Confidentiality:
Sessions are strictly confidential. However I do receive supervision and may discuss my work during supervision. Students may remain anonymous if they prefer.
Fees:
£30 for an initial consultation and per session as described above.
If students request significantly longer sessions then it is £30 pro rata.
